Description
The novel tells the story of an old man called Farid Mitry who lost a huge portion of his memory, his fingers and part of his tongue. Seven years ago, he was discharged from Abbasiya Psychiatric Hospital as a patient after being a doctor in it, carrying with him a memoir of a patient who called himself the reservist. The writer narrates the events of the novel partially in the form of an autobiography and a diary.
